Knitting patterns hatsand beanies in 8 ply / DK / light worsted yarnFrom our knitting patterns hats and beanies range
Depending which colours you select, this beanie would suit a man or woman. It features a narrow rib band leading into the colored pattern.
Knitting in the round this hat pattern is fast and easy to complete, suiting any knitter with a little experience, who doesn't like to sew, or wear, back beanie seams.
Despite it's appearance this beanie doesn't use Fair Isle or stranded knitting techniques - each row uses only one color and the yarn is carried upwards - only a couple of ends to weave in when you're finished.
We've used readily available and reasonably priced acrylic 8ply / dk / 3 / light worsted acrylic yarn for the illustrated hat ie 22 sts x 30 rows using 4mm (UK 8/ US 6 ) double pointed needles (dpns).
You'll have no problem obtaining suitable wool or acrylic for this pattern wherever your location.
Your download pattern includes both metric and imperial (i.e. cms and inches) measurements, sizes and instructions and of course includes our usual help links - just in case.....
