knitted evening purse patternknitted in the round
Knitters worldwide are catered for with yarn substitutions included together with both metric and imperial measurements.
Dress your purse with an elegant antique broach or a pretty flower as shown below. Knitted using circular needles or dpns.
Knitting in the round is a quick and easy method of making your purse without side seams, it will have a neat and tidy interior so you've no need to line the project - unless you choose to. However, knitting this purse according to the pattern tension will give a firm knitted fabric making it unnecessary.
The illustrated purse used Coats Aunt Lydia Caressa microfibre - double strand (it's approx 4 or 5 ply)
We've also completed a version of the same purse using 8ply/DK/light worsted/3 knitting cotton and it's just as lovely. Choose whichever yarn best suits your location.
As you can see from the photograph the handles are attached to the outside with oval rings once the evening purse is completed, instructions and photographs are included within the pattern, and of course you can work the strap length to suit your needs, hand held or shoulder length.
Don't forget we give free knitting help to all purchasers of patterns from our site - links are included within the pattern.
