Don't worry if you're not in Australia or close to a Spotlight store - there's plenty of this type of yarn on the market (look in the right hand column for the type of yarn we're talking about..

We've alternated the novelty yarn with a standard, and readily available 8ply/dk/3/ light worsted yarn. Choose either wool or acrylic - they work equally well.

You'll really enjoy knitting this hat pattern. If you're experienced you'll finish in one or two evenings.
Newish knitters will obviously take longer but will still find the pattern itself easy.

• 50g (1.75oz) standard 8ply/dk/light worsted / 3 knitting wool or yarn
