About eyelash yarns

Most eyelash yarns are polyester, fun to use - but not always soft.

The eyelash fibers used in this scarf are 100% nylon, giving a wonderful softness and lustre to the fiber.

The 2.5cm (1ins) length of this particular yarn’s filaments give this scarf its luxurious depth.

The only drawback with this particular yarn is its extreme “slipperiness” - if you drop a stitch you’ll never find it amongst the hair - plan to pull your scarf undone and begin knitting again.

I’ve knitted three of these scarves and also used the same yarn in a smaller version to decorate a knitted felted (fulled) tote.

After the first scarf I decided to knit backwards and forwards on a circular needle. This method enabled me to pick up and put down my work without the fear of my stitches falling off the needle, I simply pushed them to the middle of the cord. If you enjoy knitting with circular needles you may like to use them for this eyelash scarf pattern.
